Today is the first day I woke up and I felt like Fall is showing it’s face.
At 7am it was still dark-ish outside with heavy rain pounding on the tin rooftop of the shed below my bedroom window, the scent of the wet woods of the forest nearby drenched the air and a cool breeze announced the inevitable change of the season upon us.
I’m a warm climate girl, I love bathing in the warmth of the sun and for the majority of places I lived, that lighter summer-sun-beach feeling was dominantly present.
Germany is a recent exception from my pattern and I have a love-hate relationship with it.
Fall Is Calling In The Time For Balance And Reflection
One of the things I do enjoy here though, is the experience of Seasons changing.
Right now, witnessing Nature slowing down the ‘summer production’ and tending to the harvest season before resting and regenerating during winter is one of my favorites.
It’s a feeling of wanting to come home and enjoy more homey, inside activities.
Like, I notice my coffee in the morning is having a more intense flavor to sink into all of a sudden.
The pile of books I saved to ‘read later’ starting to call themselves strongly into presence.
And evening movie time is sounding like a much better idea than sipping wine watching the sunset on the boat.
Every time has its pleasures, and purposes.
During the Fall season I come to connect on another, deeper level with my Self, taking stock of what worked and was profitable for me during the 9 months prior. I note what I need to finish before the new year, and pay attention to realize what are the major learnings, wisdoms and inspirations worth looking closer at for the new cycle of [personal] growth next year.
Yes, the Fall season is my favorite for personal [evolution] work.
It’s were the efforts from earlier in the year come to show and manifest, and it is so important to take notice:
- Did I arrive and become the next level version of my Self I envisioned to be?
- Am I close to reaching the goal I wanted to reach?
- And am I making the impact I set out to make this cycle around?
For me it’s a 3x yes.
How about you?
What’s your favorite Season?
And during which one do you tend to do more personal work to ensure moving forward and closer to experience and live the life you desire?
Dare to share in the comments if you will, I’d love to learn when you thrive the most.
It’s such a trip to realize the beauty of the Seasons for us all.
And PS: if my story resonates, please like it and perhaps even share with someone who you think will like this too.
